Welcome to the
MICHELLE GRANT GALLERY

empty emptyichelle Grant is a perfect example of an incredible artist who is not that well-known in our hobby. She's been customizing for many years, but like many people, doesn't produce very many pieces per year. During the past few years she's dropped out of the hobby almost completely to pursue other interests, including her developing emergence in the fine art world as a equine portrait artist. She was recently honored to have one of her pieces grace the cover of an Equine Images issue!

Michelle works in oils, and is best known for her fabulous draft horses, which often feature open mouths showing lips and teeth, wonderful expressions, beautiful conformation, and amazing presence. One of her drafts, Chinook's Breakaway, won the once infamous Model Horse World Championships back in 1987, and had many a collector wishing for a Grant of their own! Perhaps most famous of all, however, is her stunning and incredible Zebra, Zarley Zalapski, whose arrival in some years ago left the hobby with mouths a-gawk to see such a detailed and excellently done creation. To my knowledge, Zarley was the first truly spectacular Zebra to hit our hobby! He is a true delight!

Here then, is a showing of the majority of Michelle's stunning portfolio. Many, many thanks to Twyla Brower for getting Michelle's portfolio and sending it to me as an important addition to the Model Horse Gallery. Sit back, relax, and prepare to enjoy yourself!
