Welcome to the NATASHA POWERS GALLERY

atasha Ann Powers was born in Melbourne, Florida in 1972 and has always been interested in horses. She was introduced to the hobby after getting a Breyer Traditional Black Beauty as a child. However, it was several years before she was able to really get into collecting them. A classmate gave her a sample issue of The Hobby Horse News, which she subscribed to for several years after that. At first she just collected models, but seeing customized models got her interested in trying it herself. She learned some of her painting skills at school and has continued to practice and improve with each of her creations.

Natasha like to work in acrylics, and most enjoys painting Appaloosas and pintos because they come in so many different patterns. Favorite solid colors to paint include grulla, bay, dark bay, flaxen chestnut, and palomino.

Natasha hopes to learn more about sculpting with the ultimate goal of producing some of her own molds. She enjoys the opportunity of painting custom models for others because customers presents more challenges than she would on her own--the end result is that she improves her skills with each model she does, which is always what she strives for. Natasha takes a lot of pride in knowing that her customers are happy with their models.

Her favorite breed of horse is the Arabian, and although she doesn't own any pets right now, Natasha hopes to someday have a real horse of her own.
