From Emma Bramwell: made in England for Sindy dolls. I am not positive on this, but I have a feeling that some of the horses are also marketed as Hasbro toys. I found it interesting to note that the larger standing horses appear to be from the same mold as Marx's Thunderbolt horse. The Pedigree horses made for Sindy doll are about 11-12" tall to the tip of the ear, the foals are about 8" tall. I have asked a few Sindy doll collectors if they've ever found a brand on the horses, the answer has always been 'no' because they apparently do not carry one - it would be nice to confirm the manufacturer, and know what year the horse was made. Dapple Grey Horse
Dapple Grey Horse (~1983) is a dapple grey horse with a tan English saddle and bridle set, made for Sindy doll. This horse can also be found in a tan harness, to go with the Sindy Horse and Gig set.

Sindy Horse, Sindy Foal
Sindy Horse Sindy Foal - This is a palomino horse with a jointed head and neck, and has a mauve English saddle and bridle set. The foal is a dark brown colour with a yellow rug.

Sindy Horse (1987) and Sindy Foal (1987) - this is a dark brown horse (~1987) with a jointed head and neck, and has a tan English saddle and bridle set. The foal is a strange cream-mauve colour with a yellow rug.

Happytime
Made in 1976; sold as part of a set with "Show jumper rider Anne Moore" doll and lots of great plastic tack. Also available in palomino as "Sundance." Many English accessories were available: jumps, sidesaddle, etc. Photo provided by Traci Hilbert
Keren G-M says: the 'Happitime" horse is originally by Pedigree, who were Mattel's main UK competitor. Series included dolls 'Anna' (used Pedigree's 'Sindy' doll head on a 10" Mego female body) and 'Peter', plus Peter's horse 'Sundance', a range of outfits for the dolls, accessories for the horses and jumps, etc.

Kim Mason chimes in: Pedigree Happytime and Anna was promoted by Anne Moore our Olympic show jumper from 1972 on that great horse Psalm. Anna began life as a blonde but as some point became a brunette. She had a range of outfits originally coming with beige jodphurs, boots and yellow shirt. The outfits for her were side saddle in blue, point to point, hacking, trekking, schooling with lunging cav and whip, showjumping. A little later came Peter in blue jersey beige jodphurs and long black boots. His horse Sundancer was the same mould but in palomino. He had outfits to swap to and they were showjumping, point to point and hacking as well. He started off with brown hair and at some point was available with dark brown hair., They had a stable for their horses, with cavaletti jumps and poles, an oridnary jump that could be poles or oxer, and a water jump which is much rarer and harder to find. Happytime came with london tan coloured tack and Sundancer had dark brown tack.

Peanuts
Here he is, my pride and joy, my 1960`s grey flock covered Pedigree Sindy horse Peanuts. A very rare item and I`ve never seen another. I`ve seen his body mould in a plain brown plastic but non like him. He must be 42 by now. I also have Pixie which is Sindy`s sister Patch`s pony. Peanuts is very fragile now with a few cracks.
