MORTON STUDIO

empty This company was founded in the 1940s by Oscars Mortens, who had just moved to the United States from Sweden. His partner was Gunnar Thelin, and together they produced figurines of dogs, cats, wild animals, and of course, horses. The figurines were made out of a plaster like material over a wire frame. Morten Studios has been out of production for many years; most pieces are marked with either an ink stamp or a paper label. This information was provided by Aliyah Ahmad
