Welcome to the
CORRIE MCDERMOTT GALLERY

empty emptyorrie McDermott, of Into the Sun Studio, is a new artist, tack and prop maker to the model horse world, although she has been collecting model horses for over twenty years. She has a degree in Illustration, Painting and Drawing and began customizing in early 2004. She paints and customizes Breyer and Peter Stone horses as well as artist resins, usually with an airbrush, pastels and/or by hand.

She also began creating her own tack and props for photo and live showing. Most of her tack is inspired by the patterns and projects supplied by Rio Rondo as well as Susan Bensema Young's Guide to Making Model Horse Tack. Corrie's props are made from her own patterns created by using real horse jumps and props as a guide.

Her favorite breed of horses to collect and paint are stock horses, although she is open to discovering many different breeds and colors.

When not submerged in the model horse world she spends time with her real horses, Tempa (Arab/QH), Princess (Fell Pony/Cross) and Lil Miss Double Trouble (AMHA Miniature Horse).

If you would like to get in touch with Corrie, you may click on her name to send her email.
