emptyINEOL

Lineol was founded 1906 in Brandenburg (Havel), Germany, and produced very detailed composition models. After WW II, it was based in the former German Democratic Republic where it continued to produce these models. They were so detailed that they were used to educate children in school until German reunification. This company produced many equine miniatures, mostly military in nature, between the years of 1934 and 1942. The photos shown are from a 1936 catalogue, but Norbert Schrepf, who so kindly provided these scans for Janet, has most of the pieces in his personal collection. The models all measure about 11 cm high and are marked on the bottom with "Lineol Germany."
