CAROL HUDDLESTON

emptyarol Huddleston has been involved in the model horse hobby off-and-on since her childhood in the early 70s. She collected Breyers, Marx, Hartland, and even a few Japan horses, and subscribed to such venerable magazines as MHSJ. She loved the creations of artists like Linda Leach, Julie Froelich, and Kathleen Maestas.

Carol drifted away from the hobby during adolescence, and spent the next two decades attending art school, getting married, and moving to the Northwest. She re-discovered model horses after finding them on eBay, where she was amazed by resins and the superb painting and customizing of the talented artists she saw there.

With her fine art background, Carol knew her skills could be translated to miniature equines, so she began collecting resins, painting and customizing in the early 2000s. She has been slowly but steadily creating new work ever since. Her paintwork can be seen here and on her web site, http://www.prairiedreamstudio.com.

A shy and hermit-like workaholic, Carol attends few live shows, but tries to make it to one or two a year if time and money permit.
