ENESCO HORSES

empty Enesco designs and markets giftware, which is mostly made up of its popular animal figurines. Based in Elk Grove, Illinois, Enesco -- an acronym for N. Shure Company or N.S.Co.-- started in 1959 and has a large and thriving business. It has showrooms in 12 major cities as well as an enormous one at the Elk Grove plant. This company is a subsidiary of the Westfield, MA-based Stanhome, Inc., the parent company of Stanley Home Products. When identifying Enesco figurines, look for the full word, "ENESCO", which appears on all known marks and paper labels. (Information for this write up was obtained from the book, Animal Figurines, by Mike Schneider.)

Cindy Neuhaus reports 7/05 that Enesco has sold their "Precious Moments" division.
