Welcome to the
SARAH MINKIEWICZ-BREUNIG
GALLERY

empty emptyarah Minkiewicz-Breunig entered this hobby in about 1988 and quickly found herself becoming one of the most well-known artists around. From the very start, her realistic painting style and attention to detail has swayed judges, dazzled collectors, and pulled in an ever-growing group of fans. Known as a perfectionist, Sarah is always studying conformation and anatomy books, pushing herself to create creations more life-like than the last. Most of her horses today are almost 100% sculptures; she uses Breyers only for armatures, torching, cutting, and stretching the plastic so that only strips and small pieces remain. She finds it easier to resculpt from near-scratch than to try to correct the faults present in the molds she uses. Her finished pieces are an amazing show of talent and stunning sights to behold. It was no surprise that so many of her creations swept the National Championships at this year's first-ever North American Nationals, held in conjunction with the 1995 Breyerfest at Kentucky Horse Park.

Sarah is in the process of graduating to the status of a mainstream gallery and museum artist, and for that reason as well, bronze or porcelain are the mediums she eventually wants to work in permanently.
